
After the proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye, Kırıkkale became the hub of the defence industry in Kırıkkale. "Kırıkkale Military Factories Group Directorate" was established in 1925 under the General Directorate of Military Factories. The first military factories group director was Brigadier General Osman Zati KORAL. Until 1950, this directorate worked as a unit that met the administrative and social needs of Kırıkkale factories, such as officer assignments, personnel, material transportation, wage distribution, communication with the General Directorate and other factories. From April 1, 1950, it started operating as MKE Kırıkkale Regional Directorate under MKE General Directorate.
The title of the Force Center Directorate, established in 1928 for electrical energy production, was changed to Electrical Machineries Factory Directorate in 1982.
With Executive Board's decision dated 06.12.1990 and numbered 491, the Electric Machinery Factory, which produces telephone, electricity transmission and distribution, water and steam, was brought under the responsibility of MKE Kırıkkale Regional Directorate.
The title of MKE Kırıkkale Regional Directorate was changed to MKE Support Facilities Operation Directorate on 23.12.2005 and continues its operations, such as electricity distribution, steam generation, telephone communication, water production, fuel distribution, firefighting services, traction transport services and social facility management till then.
