MPT-76 is the first infantry rifle project of the Republic of Türkiye, which was initiated and successfully completed by Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE) AŞ in order to meet the modern infantry rifle needs of the Turkish Armed Forces and security forces. MPT-76 Infantry Rifle, which produced using 100% national resources has been used by Turkish security forces and armies of friendly countries for many years. Successfully completing 42 NATO tests, the 7.62 x 51 mm caliber infantry rifle has been continuously improved based on user feedback, resulting in a weight reduction to 3,750 grams by decreasing 500 grams took its place in Turkish Armed Forces inventory.
